    ah yes, the contrarian absolutist here. i don’t wear brands unless they’re second hand, i use the cheapest electronics to suit my needs & use them til they break or can’t be repaired. i make an EFFORT to reduce consumption & about large corporations when i can, what the fuck are you doing to help?

      That’s not what I am doing.

      My point is you make carve outs for yourself but somehow everyone else is terrible. That’s the point. Nuance exists. I agree you can’t do everything.

      You are picking and choosing when to be absolutist and when nuance is allowed. You have undoubtedly chosen convenience and urgency over principle, just like everyone else, yet you expect others not to in arbitrary situations you have been able to navigate personally. Ultimately this is just a lack of certain life experiences and/or imagination on your part.

      Example: I don’t shop at Walmart ever. 1) because I still have local options for groceries and 2) I’m not cash-strapped. So I don’t apply the same standard to everyone else because I know some can’t and some can. It’s that simple.
