Unfortunately, it was never going to end up any other way. Israel, despite oppressing the Palestinians and being a shit ally, remains a sacred cow for 4/5s of our politicians.
And hamas knew it would end up this way too.
On the bright side, this means that Republicans may have to stop playing hardball with Ukraine, in order to not appear hypocritical.
Most support Ukrainian support, and most Western countries need Israel as a foothold in the middle east.
You are making the bold assumption that Republicans give a damn about not appearing hypocritical.
