The United States is talking to Israeli officials and others about the idea of a safe passage for Gaza civilians after Israel’s air strikes following a deadly Hamas attack over the weekend, the U.S. national security adviser Jake Sullivan said on Tuesday.

“We are focused on this question, there are consultations going on,” Sullivan told reporters in a White House press briefing.

Israel has battered Palestinians with deadly air strikes in Gaza after Palestinian Islamist group Hamas’ attack on Israel on Saturday that left hundreds dead.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said at least 830 Palestinians were killed and up to 4,250 wounded in Israeli air strikes on the blockaded enclave since Saturday. The enclave, only 40km (25 miles) long by 10km (6 miles) wide, is home to 2.3 million people.

Depends on where you live. It’s true that a lot of places have, for example, a lot more women-only homeless shelters despite having more homeless men. On the other hand, if you live in Texas, goodbye bodily autonomy.

Baby boys don’t, unfortunately. Adult men do, which isn’t true for adult women. It seems rather pedantic that people would downvote you over such a simple mistake.

So if men have bodily autonomy explain the draft. You know the thing every male has to sign up for at 18 in the United states ?

That is before ww get into paternity rights

Actually you’re right, that’s totally fair. Men lose autonomy if the draft is ever used. Fortunately, there’s enough anti-draft sentiment that activating it would basically just fast-track the government being overthrown, so it’ll never happen.

They also loose autonomy as soon as a child is involved.

Had sex woth a girl and threw the condom in the trash. She fishes it out and uses it to impregnant herself. Too bad you owe child support for 18 years

Woman rapes you and she gets pregnant… to bad you owe child support. We’re you a minor… lol don’t matter your a man and have to pay child support.

Oh you were a trusting husband and now are being divorced. Guess what the child was never yours and you can’t ever see them again… oh and you still pay child support !

You and your wife froze your sperm and her eggs. Got divorced? Too bad she is allowed to use your speem and you are on the hook for child support!

Can’t afford the child support ? To bad off to jail . you sill man.

Let’s not even get I to infant male genital mutilation.

Other than MGM, which you are right about, none of that has anything to do with bodily autonomy even though they’re valid problems. Also, you don’t go to jail for owing money. That’s straight up not a thing in the US.

If you loose the right over your body then you loose bodily autonomy. If you have to pay a fixed amount of money by law for another person then you no linger have a choice of what you can so with your own body because you have to keep making those payments

https://www.njdivorceonline.com/njpages/childsupport/childsupportenforcement.asp#:~:text=All states also have criminal, for up to 3 years.

All states also have criminal laws on the books to punish parents who refuse to pay their child support.  New Jersey law says a parent is required to support his/her child.  A person who violates the law may be fined up to $100 and/or imprisoned for up to 3 years>

                  https://www.justice.gov/criminal-ceos/citizens-guide-us-federal-law-child-support-enforcement

For one, an individual is subject to federal prosecution if he or she willfully fails to pay child support that has been ordered by a court for a child who lives in another state, or if the payment is past due for longer than 1 year or exceeds the amount of $5,000.  A violation of this law is a criminal misdemeanor, and convicted offender face fines and up to 6 months in prison (See 18 U.S.C. § 228(a)(1)).

If, under the same circumstances, the child support payment is overdue for longer than 2 years, or the amount exceeds $10,000, the violation is a criminal felony, and convicted offenders face fines and up to 2 years in prison (See 18 U.S.C.§ 228(a)(3)).

Lastly, this statute prohibits individuals obligated to pay child support from crossing state lines or fleeing the country with the intent to avoid paying child support that has either been past due for more than 1 year or exceeds $5,000. (See 18 U.S.C. § 228(a)(2)).  Any individual convicted of this crime may face up to 2 years in prison.

So yea you can be locked up for not paying child support even if the child isn’t yours

That’s interesting, I didn’t know about that. To my knowledge, those laws should be insanely unconstitutional.
