what is the “regular season” in football? Surely it’s just the season
Outside of psg games noone in usa will care
ligue 1 mcdonald’s league
I’m sure Jake (24, Minesotta) is absolutely buzzing to attend a Clermont-Reims
That’s Clermont FOOT, to be precise!
Dembele is not a big enough name to get people to watch
Do Quebecois follow Ligue 1 in the same way that english speaking Canadians/Americans follow the PL?
No, they still predominantly support the PL
But there are still some fans of PSG,Lyon and Marseille there who support them
If they want to bolster the US market, how about not signing a TV deal with beIN Sport? Of the top 6 European leagues, Ligue 1 is the most inaccessible.
Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the boss of BeIN and PSG, doesn’t care.

Ligue 1 still chasing the lost revenue from its deal with mediapro that went sour. Was a record deal and they had all planned for it accordingly, and going from 20 to 18 teams was an attempt to fix their finances. It’s still on its way back but this isn’t the way
Swear Spain and France will do anything to fast track their way to money instead of investing in the rest of the clubs in their league and marketing it properly. Instead they just suck off the 3 clubs they care about who already have all the money.
Great idea 🤡
At least away supporters will be allowed to attend the games.
Regular season? As opposed to….?
If its in Montreal then u could say both PSG and Marseille would be able to draw in a large crowd probably
PSG has definitely gotten a grip in the US market at least in terms of visibility and recognition. I see lots of kids with PSG gear even though they may not follow the team closely.
