Yeah… according to Al Jazeera every bit of Information issued by Israel has to be viewed sceptically while on the other hand they had no problem at all to publish Informations by a terrorist organization without asking any questions.
If you search somewhat neutral information about the Middle East - this is not the News Outlet for you.
Al Jazeera does do pretty good journalism most of the time, but you absolutely have to understand that they cannot be trusted on anything that touches on the interests of Qatar. If it’s in an unrelated story, they’ll usually do a good job because they want to promote an image of being quality journalists, so that when it comes to issues where they do have an agenda to push, people will trust them.
It’s not wholly different from something like the BBC. They do very good journalism, but you have to have skepticism when it comes to their coverage of domestic British politics (this is a loose analogy, of course; the BBC is a much more legitimate and prestigious organization, but they do have their own bias.)
“Human animals” and “beastly people.” This is a war “between humanity and the law of the jungle.”
We’re supposed to consider this language indicative of humanity?
so they attacked multiple hospitals but not this one?
They had given the hospital 2 hours to evacuate, naturally people thought they were going to bomb the hospital and freaked out and started calling for humanitarian ceasefire.
Unfortunately, the Islamic Jihad had “misfired” a dumb rocket and it landed in the parking lot a bit early.
Combined with the panic, a probable evacuation, and the official sources of Israel being like "They deserved it.’ People, myself included, had thought Israel had done exactly what they said they were going to do.
Once the fog of war cleared, we understood a few things that were considered lies. The hospital was still standing, there was no hospital crater where an airstrike would have been. And the crater for the shell was only a foot in diameter.
Not only that, they threatened to do so, but hamas miraculously bombed it first.
