Why is it that everytime Dortmund sells a player they either do way worse or become one of the best in the world

      Let’s see.

Sancho - serious bust Pulisic - ok but mainly bust at Chelsea. Looking better at Milan Dembele - made of glass, so mainly bust at Barca, esp considering the fee

Gundogan - got better, key player and star at City Haaland - got better, super class, best striker in the world Bellingham - better, one of the best in the world Hakimi - got better, one of the best

      Anyone else?

I suspect it’s because Dortmund plays a very specific system, and a lot of their players can only succeed by playing in that system. Once they’re asked to do something else, they become completely ineffective.

That’s some insane cope lmao Dortmund has changed a lot throughout the past 7 (wtf) years since Sancho and these recent big sales came to Dortmund

The reason why Sancho succeeded at Dortmund was bc Favre and Terzic knew how to best maximize his output through various off and on the pitch measures, some of these measures of which United won’t go that far into catering which is fair but it is a huge waste of his amazing ability, plus people seem to forget that Sancho also had spells in which he played badly at Dortmund (which could usually stretch to months) yet overall he was amazing
