Focus on feature like line smoothing, palm rejection. Good amount of brushes extra points for custom brushes.

    I sometimes use tldraw for drawing and collaboration - it’s a web app though. Xournalpp is great and has high customisability but it’s only infinite in vertical direction. Linwood butterfly also looks promising.
