Hi All,

Not sure if this is the best sub to ask for such a recommendation but what the hell.

I’m UK based and work for a small hotel that employs 50 or so staff, and we’re looking to implement a time & attendance system. In regards to more specific requirements:

Biometric (fingerprint) and/or camera system. Can also do card swiping, but I want something that prevents “buddy swiping”.

Can store around 100 users.

Something simple and bare bones. No extra frills or fancy features or whatever, just something that allows for X amount of users and logs when they check in and out, and can spit out a report/data in a common file format, like xls or cvs or something.

No subscriptions or on-going payment plans to Cloud systems or anything like that. Just a one time payment for a machine.

Thanks!

People downvote him because he’s often not helpful at all. What’s the purpose of this sub? To post pictures and diagrams?

Folks come here to ask questions. Telling them to Google is unhelpful, especially when Google likely brought them here.

Just my $.02 based on my observation of his responses to posts.

No, to answer all the questions that were not asked so often that they are already answered by the FAQ and its links.

Also what would be the point of having a search bar here on Reddit if nobody is using it, right?

People asked for a time tracker just two weeks ago. It’s very unlikely that much happened during that time, don’t you think?

Guess what: what happened two weeks ago is exactly the same: Kimai was also suggested there already.

And people here are getting tired answering the same questions over and over again.

And most Reddit threads are getting less app suggestions than the mentioned ones on the awesome selfhosted list.

So if you’re really implying that the only purpose of the selfhosted Subreddit would be to copy the things that are already mentioned on a repo that is literally linked here in the Reddit links every single day, then this would be the saddest Subreddit ever.
