I really don’t get most of the far side comics.
Most of them are just “isn’t this silly?” If you think it’s silly, you get it.
A lot of them are bizarre or surreal, so perhaps more “isn’t this weird?”
His latest stuff shared directly on his website really lean into this, presumably because he no longer has to answer to anyone but himself, so now more than ever he’s just making the comics that he wants to make.
It’s just absurd for the sake of absurdity
