The only thing missing IMHO, is a very small bitcoin detail somewhere.

Yup. The platform should feel alive.
I remember on Reddit when people were trying the limits and quirks of the algorithm, and you would wake up one day and your feed was filled with something totally unrelated. A few hours later and it went back to normal.
We have a similar system in Quebec wine and spirits are sold by the government body, and we have beer and other alcool being sold in convenience store and groceries. It works… but I hate it. Why should we pay 24-30$ an hour for people to sell alcool. That makes no sense. Also okay g people selling weed is stupid.
Why can’t we do both? A government should not be a one man state
LCBO stores aren’t closing anytime soon. You just now have 1 more choice. How come having another option is seen as bad?
Never heard that Lemmy.ca deferated from our beloved sailors.
Why do I see 4 comments on lemmy.ca but there are 28 more in the original post ?
Why so much violence? Why is it a good idea to get a gun to prove your point?
I agree with you. Don’t mind the downvotes
There are almost no minimum wage laws but 90% of workers are unionized or represented in some way. They strike very rarely because employers know unions are strong there but when they do, oh boy the whole country is behind the workers on strike.
130 mechanics started the whole thing!
I cannot stand ads anymore to the point that when I happen to watch TV stream and ad break come up, I put the TV on mute and go browse Lemmy on my phone.
Even though the carbon tax gets dristributed equally at the end of the year, everything around me is inflated because of gas prices, all year long. A new electric car is damn expensive, I don’t have the wealth to buy an electric car. If I have to pay a tax on everyday stuff, then I won’t ever have the money to buy an electric car. At the end of the day, the government is taking money I could have used for something else, even though I “get” it back at the end of the year, I should be able to make my own decision hence the “why tax me, or why punish me when there is no alternative”.
Almost like they should prepare and build those public services before applying tax. Applying a tax with no alternative is just a greed tax.
Inflation is a monetary issue. You need to vacuum the excess liquidity in the economic system by having high interest rates. There is no escape to that.
Maybe if we’d removed the limitations on the building height or other law that limits the housing offers, the private sector would build more houses, who knows.
The British
Pretty much what France is doing with the old colonies
You cannot say that without revealing some details, c’mon
