Agreed. Our grandparents, and for some of us, parents, survived the great depression, WWI and WWII. Elbows up, buckle down, and stay strong together.

I agree 100%. There’s a whole lot of room for improvement. But I will tell you this: I dislocated and broke my arm because of a bad fall last year. I DID have a long wait in the emergency. But once the x-rays were done and I was seen by a surgeon, surgery was scheduled and performed very quickly. I’m retired and on a fixed income. If I had lived in the USA, I’m sure I would have lost my comfortable little bungalow townhouse.

Yah, well good luck with that. I am an old flower child educated in critical thinking. No amount of propaganda or the bombardment of such will ever sway me to hate any human being for just wanting to live a good life.

Science is not about government, or right and left, or free speech. It’s just science. It’s about individuals spending their lives studying a specific subject. Politicians who know nothing about those subjects should have no say. I shudder to think what might have happened during the polio outbreak under today’s U.S politicians.

Elections don’t work when education has been systematically degraded. Elections don’t work when there are no restrictions on the amount of contributions that oligarchs can contribute to a political candidate. Elections don’t work when there is no safeguard against election tampering. Elections don’t work when oligarchs own the media.

A question from someone who knows nothing about warfare… As a commonwealth country, could we expect support?

The Statue of Liberty symbolizes freedom and opportunity, representing the ideals of liberty and democracy. Originally a gift from France, it has become an iconic welcome for immigrants arriving in the United States, embodying hope and the pursuit of a better life. The USA has turned the Statue of Liberty into a travesty.

“violated Treasury policy”, “previously resigned”, “found to have broken protocol”, “a lawsuit from 19 state attorneys general”, etc. This just doesn’t mean anything anymore. There is no law.

This is dictatorship. There is no longer a “Law of the Land”.
