It must be nice to live somewhere where the individuals who make up the government are completely altruistic and not selfish or corruptible at all so you can give them extensive power over your life without worry. Unfortunately I have less faith in the unchecked goodness of government workers. I prefer a system built on individuals and free exchange.
I like this, I felt like I learned your view better. Unfortunately I’m an individual not a collective. I own my own body and therefore I own the fruits of the labors I endure. I dont think this theoretical democratic “they” should have any say over my body or the products I generate with my efforts.

What a fantasy world you live in. Must be nice. In truth, the state is a gang of thugs and parasites. Has nothing to do with the collective will of the people, a concept which doesn’t exist in reality.
Teach them about statism and tell them you own the bucket and all the candy they gathered and all the candy all their friends gathered. Give them a welfare of a few pieces of candy you gathered. Then tell them to go gather more candy otherwise they’re grounded.

I wish I lived in your fantasy world where individuals who are being adversely affected by the cost of eggs can still somehow magically not only afford the startup costs of a farm, and manage to not only sell eggs at prices beating out major agribusiness, but can also do so at a sufficient scale to affect system-level change. What absolute starry-eyed naivete.
You can raise chickens in about a square meter of space, you don’t need a farm…plus you missed the point, that was merely an example. Point is, stop complaining and expecting things to be fixed for you. Do something constructive.
I don’t get this argument. If everything is greedily overpriced why not just go into business for yourself? Like if eggs are so overpriced, go buy chickens and start selling eggs. Prices will go down. Complaining about greed or expecting the government to do something won’t help anything. That’s the real reason Americans feel gloomy, they keep expecting someone else to do something, like the government or c-level executives.

That’s dumb. I understand restrictions on uncooked meats, but what harm could a cooked chicken breast do? This is what happens when officials blindly enforce rules without understanding the purpose of the rule in the first place.
