If you want to add non English movies to the list, then I have two to suggest:
- Children of Heaven
- Cinema Paradiso

I do this with AAs. Basically put the side with the bump (positive) on the tip of the tongue and touch the flat (negative) side with a wet finger. It gives out a mild but distinctive ‘taste’, not enough to tingle but definitely something I am able to notice, when the cell has decent juice.
I am not sure if this will pique your interest but I find kinetic sand tables really fascinating. Sisyphus came up with it first and there have been a number of open source implementations in due course. One way is to implement it using a scara arm mechanism but they have the problem of load weight in the case of long arms.
I came across this design that rethinks the design using an elegant rack and pinion arm but still needs a belt that may go out of calibration over time. This looks to be improved further using [two, concentric rings] (https://frew.io/work/sisyphish) but this design is not available to explore/copy.
I have no idea about 3D designing, but I would love to create a table one day: something that will not need constant adjustment. If you get around to taking this up, I would love to see what design improvements you can come up with.
Yes, i think squid proxy would do the trick too. It even has installers for windows.
Look at the silver lining. At least their computers must have escaped the recent windows BSOD.
I don’t think I’m getting it right, but isn’t it just a matter of checking the character set in the query and determining if it belongs to English or Devnagri part of Unicode and applying transliteration if the query is in English.
If you are looking for a self hosted Devnagri transliteration tool, look into AI4Bharat, a tool developed by IIT Madras.
I’ve set up tailscale in the past week and fallen in love with the ease of use. So, this has my vote too. But, if i was doing this, i would chop the file into, say, 500mb parts using 7z or WinZip and then transfer it through SCP (WinSCP if using windows) over tailscale IPs.

The biggest challenge i faced was getting the pH and nutrient right. The pre measured hydroponics nutrients were only available online to me at a big premium over big bags of similar sounding stuff like NPK, micronutrientes at local stores that sell them for farmers. I read up as best I could, found calculators, weighed and measured doses but I failed and my dear tomato saplings wilted in hours before my eyes.
I half assed in trying to build a hydroponic system a few years ago. Looking at this video, i realise how much effort it takes. But it must be so rewarding.
Looks cool! Your first link is asking for login.
Sites like Anna’s library should permit users to flag books without OCR and permit users to submit OCR version of the books.
And that’s why tools like gamma.app exist
Thanks for this, but as far as I could understand this teaches how to torrent the files independently. I’m struggling with the part: how to get my book listed on Anna’s Archive
If they are not copyright material, upload them on YouTube and make the videos private.
Edit: i just noticed the sub. Oops
And once scanned, how can I upload it to sites like Anna’s Archive so that it’ll live on forever?
Thanks, I’ve installed it and I’m going to give it a try.
Could you please share a link to the app with OCR based on tessaract 5
Just want to add for anyone who might attempt this, my IRC client of choice is Pidgin. Open source and works on windows as well as Linux (not sure about iOS). Most tutorials suggest the good old mIRC, but using it after the trial period increasingly becomes a pain with its wait screen with timer.
Did you know there is an extended version of it that exists too. First time I read about it, they talked about how the abridged, director’s cut was much better. After watching it a few times, i gave in and watched the extended version and liked it as much too.
