Wait apple is still operating in Russia? Weren’t we sanctioning them or something?
Wait apple is still operating in Russia? Weren’t we sanctioning them or something?
Of course they are that’s not the point. The price of meat is artificially deflated by subsidies, while the price of (for example) soy is artificially inflated by the food companies selling it as a novelty with immense margins.
It takes >20kg of soy to make 1kg of meat. There is no real reason, then, for a soy burger to be as or more expensive than a beef burger. Leave plant subsidies where they are, cut meat subsidies - suddenly it becomes financially sensible to eat that soy directly instead of through a cow, as it should be.
Edit: I realise I expressed myself poorly in the previous comment. By “vegan stuff” I meant processed stuff like burgers, not whole food plants.
“Without the money” - that’s the key. Meat is heavily subsidised, vegan stuff is not. Even though cows eat soy. Vegan stuff is more expensive than meat only because of fucked up market systems, nothing that can’t be fixed by adjusting regulations.
I have never watched it and probably never will- I’m sure it’s a great movie but the twist is one of the most spoiled in internet history :(
Nothing is ever truly original, everything you create is a remix of things you encountered after they are processed by your subconscious. And that’s ok. Even if your song will end up to be very similar to another one it will be your own spin on the musical “idea”. Go for it
The only right answer
Did anybody in the comments read the article? Rhetorical question
The article defines “live service game” as a game receiving regular updates for years, a definition which includes worldwide favourites like the Witcher 3 or BG3.
The best thing for the environment in the long term would be to cull about 60% of humanity, can’t separate trash enough to beat that. That can’t be the only argument for whether something is good.
Personally I’d take a tiny amount of pollution in exchange for the cruelty.

It’s not that hard™
Infinite how? Both countries have millions of military aged men, before either country actually runs out of manpower there would have to be a hundred Stalingrad battles. Clearly the population amount is not the bottleneck here. For either of them to use manpower as a “weapon” they’d have to throw naked men at machine guns hoping that bullets can’t be resupplied faster than they can draft.
Russia like any other nation has a very limited amount of manpower that they can leverage before consequences start to hit. So far they have avoided another mobilisation, but if the numbers dwindle enough they’ll have to do it and that is going to be very unpopular. They can’t afford to grind their men the way they’re doing but they’re doing it anyway, probably because they want to project the image of “endless manpower Russia” - if they can keep the farce long enough then maybe Ukraine’s allies will give up.
By believing this tankie nonsense you’re helping them. Don’t.
Bruh the current government has been staunchly anti Russian since its election and was actually pushing for stronger aid to Ukraine even before, while other parties wanted to only give them “defensive weapons” whatever that meant.
Hate on Meloni all you want but do it for the right reasons. Sucking Russian dick ain’t one of them. You’re thinking of salvini.
I agree football is great but don’t the yanks call it “soccer”?
If people working at big companies had spare time, now that would be fantastic

May be that way for a native English speaker I guess. I have never used it or seen it used as a moniker.
I’ll be honest here, the whole std thing feels rather immature. Yeah of course I thought of the other meaning for the acronym, didn’t think people would be so childish as to consider that. Let’s be real, every acronym in the world is probably also an acronym for something nasty - but you can’t take that burden on yourself every time you type. If you have a hard time believing i was honest then don’t believe it, but the fact that I’m being accused of something so trivial speaks more of the accuser than it does of me.
I didn’t mean to make a pun at stds, it’s baffling that people would interpret it that way. That show is crappy enough to insult itself, why would anyone bother calling it names. It doesn’t need any help being ridicule.
As for your “other acronyms” point: other series are made of multiple words. TOS, TNG, DS9, they’re all acronyms. Discovery is only one word, how are you supposed to call it? D? DSC is not an acronym, if I were to randomly select letters from the name just to save space I’d just call it by its full name.
I realised STD could mean both and decided to go through with it anyway because I thought we were talking between adults but clearly you made up your mind about me long before giving a damn about who I was.
Sorry for having come off that way, I’m just a regular guy that doesn’t really like the show for the reasons I said.
STD is Star Trek discovery and I never meant anything with it, didn’t know it was insulting. Don’t know how it “doesn’t make sense”, it’s literally the acronym of the series.
But eh.
I can understand smuggled hardware, but it’s not like Russians can buy their localized App Store in India… it would be much more helpful if they weren’t running it there, as the smuggled iPhones would be just bricks
