Maybe it’s the news I’ve been consuming recently, but I feel like this makes for a great political comic.
For those, like me, who had never heard of BRICS before this article.
BRICS is an intergovernmental organization comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates. Originally identified to highlight investment opportunities,[1] the grouping evolved into a cohesive geopolitical bloc, with their governments meeting annually at formal summits and coordinating multilateral policies since 2009.
Some refrigerators can dispense cold filtered water.
The intentional injection, release, or dispersion, by any means, of chemicals, chemical compounds, substances, or apparatus within the borders of this state into the atmosphere with the express purpose of affecting temperature, weather, or the intensity of the sunlight is prohibited,
So just bring a camera to film it and say the express purpose is to make art, educational videos, documentaries, study dispersal patterns, etc.
It’s totally cool to affect the environment accidentally or as a biproduct of another activity.
The general take away is “Surveillance is oppression and it is the responsibility of the people to stand up against oppression”.
A few other quotes I like that fit the theme.
“People shouldn’t be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people.”
— V (V for Vendetta)
“Without privacy, you can’t have anything for yourself. Saying you don’t care about privacy because you have nothing to hide is like saying you don’t care about free speech because you have nothing to say.”
— Edward Snowden
Nooooo! 😭 I so badly wanted this to be real. I had even looked it up by ISBN to try and order it. The ISBN is for a book titled Brute Orbit, if anybody is curious.
The month is Compuary, which is a new cyber-month they added just for doing hacker stuff.
A what now? To do what again?
And they do sex stuff up there as well.
Reeeeealy?
There’s Baltimore Airport, lab-grown to be a swimsuit model but programmed to kill.
Obviously a complex character with depth.
There’s Crusty Silverware…
Say no more … please.
Infiltrate the dome and take out Harvard Pubence, the president of cops.
You son of a bitch, I’m in!
Tonight, Pubence is guest of honor at the 9th annual Rich Perverts’ Ball.

I wonder if mRNA vaccine treatment for cancer is what they are referencing.
From what I was able to understand (and maybe somebody can correct anything I’ve gotten wrong), the “vaccine” is tailored on a per-individual basis to target key protein markers of a petients particular cancer. This allows the body to identify and start to attack the cancer where previously the immune system would not be able to tell the difference between healthy and cancerous cells.

Public transit, in the United States, is primarily owned and operated by various government agencies.
What you are describing fits into the conspiracy theory that automobile manufacturers “lobbied” politicians to pass laws, subsidies, zoning regulations, public transit expansion plans, etc that would favor / encourage car ownership while limiting the growth of public transit. I believe that there where some trials involving auto manufacturing executives, which support at least part of this theory, but I don’t know those details.
It’s a turkey for the American Thanksgiving holiday.
Am I missing something or has nobody in the comments checked this math?
1 year = 365 days 7 days a week, 4 weeks a month, 13 months a year = 364 (7 * 4 = 28 * 13 = 364).
There is an unaccounted day in Jesse’s system and that’s before taking leap years into account. Dropping that day would result in gradual shift of the calendar through the seasons. Adding it screws with the symmetry that is the core of the argument for a 13 month year.
Again?
At the core of learning is for students to understand the content being taught. Using tools and shortcuts don’t necessarily negate that understanding.
Using chatGPT is no different, from an acidemic evaluation standpoint, than having somebody else do an assignment.
Teachers should already be incorporating some sort of verbal q&a sessions with students to see if their demonstrated in-person comprehension matches their written comprehension. Though from my personal experience, this very rarely happens.
OMG! IT’S HAPPENING! My natural talents, which I have been diligently practicing and honing my entire life are finally given a chance to be properly recognized!
It sounds like you are describing depression. Here are some things that help me when I get to feeling like this. It’s not easy to do when battling with low energy and a lack of motivation, but they help.
Do more outdoor activities. Normally in the form of walks, or biking to nearby locations instead of driving.
Drink more water. Basically, I just have a glass of water before drinking anything else.
Eat better. Nothing too extreme, I make an effort to prepare more foods at home and include more vegetables.
Change things. I’m not talking about a life change. Rearrange furniture, put up some different wall art, change your lighting, swap out the background images on your computers and / or mobile devices, etc.
Spend time with your thoughts. I would try to spend about 15 minutes to an hour each day sitting in silence, with no distractions. I don’t force any thoughts. I just wait to see what bubbles to the surface. It usually helps me identify problem areas that I need to focus on.
It is also possible that you have started down a life path that you feel you are “supposed” to pursue and not necessarily a path that you want to pursue.
It could also be that you are burned out between school, work, and social obligations. Making more time for yourself or taking some time off, if that is an option, might help.
Officers injured at the scene are blaming and suing Tesla over the incident.
…
And the reality is that any vehicle on cruise control with an impaired driver behind the wheel would’ve likely hit the police car at a higher speed. Autopilot might be maligned for its name but drivers are ultimately responsible for the way they choose to pilot any car, including a Tesla.
I hope those officers got one of those “you don’t pay if we don’t win” lawyers. The responsibility ultimately resides with the driver and I’m not seeing them getting any money from Tesla.
Anybody else see this as a commentary on political elections?
