Tried again half a year ago, this time with a little more patience, and successfully transitioned fully! Rocking Mint 21.3, and loving it!! Even my printer works, even the bkuetooth receiver for my Soundsystem!! couldnt be happier!

The phrase is quite the beaten horse at this point, overused and pointless, that i agree with. I think its been overused in part to highlight how silly it is, making the people who use it unironically look like absolute dorks.
Its a little similar to how in Germany, theres a new synonym for cannabis, called ‘Bubatz’. Its origins are unclear, it sounds super silly and has been instrumentalized in the decriminalisation of cannabis. Many people have strong reactions when they hear that word, which in turn motivates other people to keep using that word. It boils down to people wanting to rile up other people for no reason!

Ever since I stopped gaming as much, linux has become infinitely more fitting to me. My main driver is Mint 21.3, it does everything i want it to. Its fun, and a great learning experience. Though obviously you gotta want to learn how to fix things if things go wrong, which they still do, but mostly at the beginning. After installing the right graphics drivers, and fixing touchpad scroll speed, everythings smooth sailing.

i switched from gnome to KDE two days ago and i LOVE it. Love to customize stuff, the control it gives me. just upgraded to 6.1 on my fedora 40 install. Everything working perfectly, no bugs yet!!
edit: I have sicne switched to Cinnamon and love it even more :) been using it for almost half a year and am definitely staying with that.
