Sims is great but their content policy is insane. While I don’t think this game looked amazing it did have potential and would’ve at least been an option. So we’re back to only having Sims in that genre now. Let’s hope that paralives pulls through, they seem to at least still be going

This is such horseshit. This isn’t about “making sure that they get paid” this is about Bethesda getting a cut of those profits, nothing more nothing less. The way modding is right now is perfect, at least from a user’s perspective. You get everything for free but if you can afford it and want to then you can donate to the creator.
There’s no need for a paid system because that excludes people who can’t afford to pay for the stuff. They are already excluded from official content because everything comes as a paid dlc nowadays and now you also want to exclude them from modding?
I think this will only hurt the modding community and the only ones really profiting from this are the corporations.

No, it’s not easy to navigate.
It’s a very complicated game and it’s going to take you a few hours to understand all of the mechanics but they have very good tutorials. Be prepared to read a lot of text though. A bit of a guess but I’d say learning the basics takes around 2-3 hours if you follow the tutorials.
Once you understand how everything.works it is easy to navigate though because the UI is very good.
Board game the Chinese players the option to download their account data before shutting down the servers. Whoever did that will (presumably) have the option to upload that data once the services are restored.
Afaik neither blizzard or netease saved any of the data. Blizzard didn’t because Chinese players’ data can’t be stored on servers outside of china and netease didn’t because…fuck 'em?

You’re not hurting the companies, you’re hurting the artists. I’m not saying don’t pirate at all, especially from artists like Taylor swift. But maybe if you’re listening to a small artist, especially if they’re independent, consider buying their cd.

It is avoidable overall but it always requires an effort on my part which is the wrong way around imo.
Ultimately my stance on it is that it’s annoying but there’s only so much we can reasonably do about it. I don’t expect dB or the police to patrol train stations to make sure nobody is smoking. It’s largely avoidable and if people want to kill themselves then they’re free to do that. We have much bigger problems to focus on, like the one you mentioned: cars. (And maybe if more people used the train instead of cars there’d be more of an incentive make sure most of your customers aren’t being bothered by a minority)
Not everyone can buy a gun, to get the paperwork you need to meet a somewhat arbitrary age requirement and you have to be “mentally stable”. So we are discriminating against mentally handicapped people. It makes sense, I don’t even disagree with it, just saying that it’s the same logic as op’s.

I don’t smoke so I’m not super invested in this either. However, I travel a lot by train and besides the trains always being late what annoys me most are smokers. Smoking is already banned at all train stations and bus stops but the first thing some people do when exiting a train is lighting a cigarette. In the middle of a crowd. Imo the only way to stop them from doing that in crowds is by banning smoking completely & this law is a good way to do that, but it would have to be an EU-wide measure imo. Otherwise it’s too easy to just drive to a neighbouring country and buy a pack of cigarettes.
Calling it discrimination is quite a stretch. By that logic our gun laws are discrimination, too and why can’t I buy enriched uranium in stores? I’m being discriminated against!!! Muh pearls! Some laws exist to protect people from themselves and I would welcome a law like this in Germany. Cigarettes and vapes don’t do anything that you can’t do in other ways, without harming others. Except maybe get you more breaks at work :P

Bringing a spare is a good point. Less of a hassle than a power bank (although still not ideal). Battery life is pretty much the only thing I care about aside from longevity. Fairphone has longevity covered, maybe the review I read just made the battery life seem mich worse than it actually is. I’ll have to look into it some more, thanks
I need a new phone soon, can’t really wait until the EU regulations force companies to build them with removable batteries. I need to look more into Fairphone, hope that’s decent. Last review I read made me concerned about battery life, I really don’t like charging my phone every day either. Or having to carry a power bank with me.
I don’t think there’s anything on the market that comes even close to the modularity aria had promised. Moto z had some mods but they dropped that very quickly unfortunately.
I played through the third recently, yes there are a few mods. The game isn’t very mod friendly so there’s not a ton there but I found like a dozen or so that were worth installing on nexus.
Game still kinda sucks but good enough for one play through if you liked the first (two)
