“Dodgy Firestick”
“Dodgy Firestick”
It was one of them 1 week ban and all API tokens revoked things. I just told him to get his hand in his pocket
I gave a mate my username/password and immediately got blocked on Debrid when he used it…
Thing is the sugar tax seems to have done fuck all in changing the prices so sugar free options are cheaper. Whenever I look in the supermarket, Fanta and Fanta zero for example are the same price, which is just far more expensive than it used to be.
So tell me how the sugar tax has made it healthier? I’m just gonna buy the full fat one if it costs the same.
I call this feeling “The Holy Spirit” and no I’m not religious, hear me out.
So there’s “The Father” which is you, in charge of everything.
Then there’s “The Son” which is your Jesus, the bit of you that does shit mostly perfectly without any input from you. The scary example of this is when you drive to work and can’t remember the drive at all. Jesus Take the wheel. Teach your Jesus right and you can trust he’ll do things fine.
Then The Holy Spirit, which is that part of you that sees everything, before the filters are applied, and let’s you know something is off. There’s no obvious reason for it, but there’s something off about this guy and we need to get away from him as soon as possible and never interact with them again.
The Jesus part is the important bit for most of us. Learning to play the guitar? Teach your Jesus. When you’ve practiced enough you can just trust that Jesus will hit the notes while you concentrate on singing along.
When I learned to Juggle I just taught my Jesus how to throw properly so it lands in the other hand.
At work I teach my Jesus how to do the manual labour, do the checks I need to do, and I can concentrate on ripping on my work colleagues.
Sacrifice the Lion for the good of everyone? It comes back from the dead… Not ringing any bells?
I read comments! I watch a lot of videos about self hosting services and the comments is where you find other people who have followed the video and struggled at some point. If you’re lucky it’s a common sticking point you’re stuck on and someone in the comments has a way of fixing it.
It was the early days of the internet and I liked Metal music.
To get me some legal Metal I had to catch a train to the nearest city for like a half hour trip, then walk around to the tiny metal shop and hope they had the CD I wanted.
And I did that. I bought a CD a week from the local store and went on monthly trips to the City.
But I also got them off torrents. Sure it may take a week to download a track but that meant just leaving my PC on.
So I built up a collection. I copied the CDs I bought. I made track lists of the best songs and made my own compilation CDs and took them to work at Deep Pan Pizza, and we would put them on while throwing pizzas at the customers.
I ended up with a DJ case of copied CDs which is still on my loft. They weren’t all downloaded, but copying media is Piracy, and I made CDs for my friends. Fartknocker Volumes 1 and 2 are still talked about by my old friends because they were full of Bangers.
Now I have a Spotify Family account and every few months they add a quid onto the price. The other day I put on The Global News podcast by the BBC and it had adverts in it! I pay my licence fee for the BBC, they don’t do advertising. Pisses me off.
So now I use Audiobookshelf for my podcasts. Currently I’m curating a music collection I’ve pulled from my old iPod in my car. Not sure it’s feasible to replace Spotify but I can try
Congratulations!
That Baby will want some Peppa Pig (mine are over a decade old now so yes I’m out of date) in the future so your stack will come in useful again!
My Babies want Anime now
Pirating by being better at the instrument. Love it.
I’ve been able to play by ear for years but it’s not effortless, it’s much easier to see a chord progression first at least.
So I’m still stuck in the Tab world a bit, except I look up chords to songs then play around with the chords until I have something cool, but that is the beauty of playing finger style, it can sound cool in different ways depending on the strings you play
Be more than they do now
Ok so I receive a letter with a fake stamp which I did not purchase, and I’m gonna be fined for it? How the fuck does that work?
Tell you what, I’ll buy a fuck load of them for 4p each and send a bunch of mail to people I don’t like to bankrupt them with fines.
Oh and the “Buy your stamps from the Post Office and you can claim they breached contract” but means I have to keep receipts for all my stamp purchases in case someone I’ve sent mail to gets fined?
Ah, email, where none of this matters.
Recently set this up myself in Ubuntu with the Mullvad app. I noticed in the qBittorrent settings that you have to tell it which ip to use. Mine was set to “any” so I had a quick look at the IP address of Mullvad and selected that one in the drop down
Funny isn’t it? I got a poll card through the door the other day and all I’ve scrolled past since is news about how I shouldn’t bother voting because Labour have this in the fucking bag.
DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE HEADLINES, VOTE
Par for the course with Endo. Took my wife a good decade to get diagnosed. Then they did surgery and that made it worse, then another Dr actually did some research and found that surgery for deep rooted Endo makes it worse. But late now like.
Horrible disease that nobody gives a fuck about because it only effects women.
I just added Jellyseerr to this setup last night and it’s amazing.
Bet the people on the “Think Tank” aren’t on minimum wage. Fucking think tanks can fuck off.
“What happened?”
“Oh he drop kicked a hedgehog”
“And he’s 11?”
“Yes”
“Right well morally I believe he should be eaten alive by a tiger or a lion”
“You might be a psychopath”
“So might he”
“Great”
“Great”
I gave up Reddit and started on Lemmy, but also started speed cubing. Now when I have time to kill I’ll just get my cube out instead of mindlessly scrolling.
I can now on average, solve a Rubik’s cube in around 40 seconds.
Just an idea of how much time was consumed scrolling politics on Reddit
This isn’t real life it’s an online forum in a video game
