Switchty Four
I’ve played oblivion and Skyrim before, it was just Morrowind I stayed away from
I just finished Morrowind for the first time a few weeks ago, vanilla other than using openmw. It has aged a lot better than I expected it would have. I can definitely see why people say it’s their favorite TES, and I’m not talking with any kind of nostalgia.
How is this game compared to something like Banished? No city builder has been as fun as banished for me
I use the steam deck preset with yuzu. I also changed the resolution to 900p and increased the framecap to 40 fps and menu to 90 IIRC
I also powered draw distance slightly. Can’t remember if I made any other adjustments
I’ve got totk running at around 30-40 fps with some hitches using TOTK optimizer https://github.com/MaxLastBreath/TOTK-mods/releases
Just beat Morrowind for the first time a couple weeks ago. It holds up much better than I expected
What are the games closest to Metroid without being Metroid I can get? I’ve already played axiom verge
Man if I cared about framerate or resolution I wouldn’t be playing totk on my steam deck. And yes I own a switch, and yes I bought totk
Nails are out, pizza is in!
If whatever you’re doing works with av1 then I’d say go for it. I do AV1 for Plex since all of my devices can hardware decode, however I keep my own videos at h264 software encoded (for smaller filesizes) since Synology photos doesn’t support AV1.
I use tdarr for my large scale conversions to AV1 but I use shutterencoder for everything else. It’s like handbrake but friendly for working in large batches and the UI is really nice https://www.shutterencoder.com/en/ It will add H265 to the end of the name too
Do color deaf people only hear “Without further ado”?
As a kid I used to have keybinds setup in Jedi Outcast (bind k “NPC spawn stormtrooper”)that would let me spawn different enemies on me while notarget was on and g_saberrealisticcombat at 3. Hours of entertainment till the game would inevitably crash from too many enemies
Today I learned yt-dlp has sponsorblock built in
Used to do this when I was a kid. It was pretty good! I loved the milk curdling, it made it taste extra frothy or creamy on top.
Is TTS voice replication much better self hosted than it was about half a year ago? Last time I tried it didn’t sound like the person I had samples of, instead I had to use elevenlabs to get close to sounding right
Turns out it was all New Jersey the whole time
If you’re playing the game vanilla you won’t really miss anything, assuming you own all of the DLCs/expansions. Both games are modable but in my experience special edition is much more stable
Are we going for a Mammoth Tank at some point?
