I love musicals and I love Trek so I was hoping I would love this episode, but I just didn’t, and I think it was mostly because the music was… bad? It wasn’t catchy, it wasn’t fun, there was not one single legitimate bop during the whole episode. Uhura’s last line about an earworm struck me as a sour note because… no. Not a single earworm to be had in the whole thing. I couldn’t hum a single song from that episode and I watched it less than an hour ago. Even Una’s alleged Gilbert and Sullivan riff was barely, barely recognizable as a take on G&S. It was to G&S as a brick spraypainted orange is to a glass of refreshing orange juice. You’re gonna do G&S in a musical episode and not do patter? Come on, son.

I just can’t get behind this episode, and I was truly prepared to be thrilled. I mean the cast tried hard, but in a musical the music has to be good, and this wasn’t.

Well you can upload images to Lemmy itself, up to a few MB per image. Otherwise, I think a lot of people are using redgifs. I have also heard good things about jpg.pet and pixl.li for images, and saint.to and pixeldrain.com for video.

Reddit is banning links to this instance in particular, and has been for a while now. That makes it tough to pull users directly from reddit.

There are three or four other instances that allow nsfw content, but it’s forbidden for most instances because NSFW content is a massive pain in the ass to moderate. Depending what country you’re in you probably have a lot of regulations you need to follow, including in the US where you need to comply with safe harbor regulations so you don’t get in trouble when some asshole uploads a bunch of underage stuff to your server.

Even outside the legal stuff, you’re going to have to deal with a lot of weirdos and negotiate and regulate other people’s sexual fetishes to a significant degree. Most people just don’t want to deal with that, and I can’t blame them.

Yeah the meaning tends to wander a bit. Mostly it means “sexy but technically SFW, sometimes up to implied nude”, but obviously ymmv and you often get people pushing the limits in order to get included in the hashtag when they don’t really belong. In places where there’s a place to post explicitly nsfw stuff, “lewd” trends tamer.

I believe the “gonemild” communities on Reddit and (hopefully) here will have the content you’re looking for, plus the ones with “lewd” in the name. This is majority solo femme-presenting content, though you may find other stuff in there sometimes too.
