I code stuff. I draw stuff.
I’m a Hongkonger 🇭🇰
If you’re a westerner coming here because you’re arguing with me about something in HK/China/Asia, I forgive you for your misunderstandings.
I’m not interested in US politics
You’re absolutely correct that nothing happened on June 5th
I do have that. I have been through the pain of running the OS on an HDD with my old computer and ever since I got an SSD, I can’t return.
Yes. I didn’t have extra SATA cables
I have an internal DVD-RW drive, but I disconnected the cable to use it for a new HDD I bought a few weeks ago
it doesn’t get hot where you live.
23.5°N, subtropical, average summer air temperature 32°C
I just ranted about it not supporting Cantonese the other day
耶~~~!
Ah right, vents. I don’t have any. I don’t think anyone at where I live has vents in their houses ( actually, apartments)
And I just felt like it would be common sense to trap heat/cold.
Isn’t that common sense? The closing doors and windows part
I thought it was bad apple
Hobword, Hoblong, Hobblock, Hobpage, Hobtor, Hobtrack, Hobplatter
It won’t come true if I tell you!
Chinese are humans too. They have a life, have things to pay for, and most of them are not even associated with the government.
Sweatshop is probably true, but I’m telling you, you just cannot resist the price as a consumer. Tooth filling for 29 HKD (3.7 USD), you just can’t beat that.
Hongkonger are extremely realistic and practical. Price low? Use it
When people saw the price, they stopped caring about that. This has been the case of Hong Kong.
It was the old image of Chinese products, but recently their quality has increased significantly. On top of that, the price is much lower than alternatives.
This is the cultural differences between the west and Japan. Japanese people really likes big robots but the west just doesn’t buy that concept. Therefore early big robot anime didn’t really made it into the western market. It’s only when they started reducing their sizes (astroboy, I mean, is it even a robot?) that it started to get popular.
