It depends on who you have it with. If your partner is good at it then it’s one of the best experiences that life can offer. If either / both partners are not good at it, it can still be good and satisfying for one or both partners. Overall I would choose sex over any other awesome activity, unless the other awesome activity was something rare that I may not get another chance to experience.

Same here, and I’ve tested it with a blue laser and the lenses block the blue laser almost completely. It’s definitely a benefit to have the blue / UV filter coating on glasses. Another easy test is to walk outside in the bright June sunlight and look around with and without the glasses. The UV filtering reduces eye strain outdoors in the bright sun too, but obviously not as well as sunglasses.

I’ve never had a Twitter account and never felt the need for one, also haven’t been missing out on that junk. I’ve read lots of tweets, on occasions when I was offered a twitter link for whatever, but just never felt like I needed to join up at all. Being self-sufficient should be a goal for every human being to strive for. Independence is a potent form of freedom that makes you feel like a magical eagle.

I’m not saying you should be Ted Kazynski or however you spell the Unabomber’s last name and live in complete isolation for most of your life, because it’s cool to have access to society’s benefits and all. But the more you can do for yourself, the more secure you will be in all ways. Basically don’t be a helpless or useless person.

Meanwhile, with the freedom afforded to me as a land owner in the USA I work from home, harvest solar energy with solar panels to run my electronics, and am growing my own produce and eggs in a backyard farm. As an individual I’m probably doing more for the environment than most people reading this whole Lemmy post.

VR can be great without photorealism too. We can apply OP’s concept to VR games and find numerous fun games that will run well on lower-powered systems. Dragon Fist VR for example - it’s basically Tekken in VR and you fight life-size NPC opponents with your own Kung Fu skills, and the graphics are decent but not photorealistic by any stretch of imagination.

Yes I have had all sorts of medical issues, numerous emergency room visits, and car accidents. I am quite well versed with the healthcare system in the USA and its costs. Everything that I wrote was based on real-life experience and facts. I’ve paid for the births of multiple children and surgeries for myself and family.

Every one of you that thinks healthcare is not accessible is wrong. We have options, and being a doomer who thinks that you don’t only hurts yourself and the others who you infect with your mental delusion.
