My wife could’ve written this
My poor wife. This has happened on more than one occasion with her birthday.
I sometimes identify with this, but lately I mostly skip panels 1 and 2 altogether.
I’ve had this same thought. I blame the smartphone for removing the last barrier to entry for most people. It became easily accessible and from pretty much anywhere. Kind of like an Eternal September but from a global perspective.
There are….voicemail apps??
Wow, I haven’t thought about kixtart in a long time!
This is what I have been hoping for, but it hasn’t happened. Went to the doc, went to the specialist, got the diagnosis. Got some prescriptions, literally no impact. None.
I ran out of my 10mg adderall XR in November but haven’t felt super compelled to go back to my doc for a refill since the month or so I was taking it had literally no effect. Also tried intuniv to no effect. I dunno. Feel kinda let down by it. I was happy when I got the diagnosis because I thought I’d be on my way to medications that could help. Been almost a year since I started that journey and I’m still in the same place.
I’m happy for you, and very envious.
Wow, happy cake day to you!
These days, sadly, just sit on my couch and watch fuckin TV. I’m just so beaten from work and everything that I just have no interest in much anything else.
A few years ago, I wondered why that was and googled it. I came to an Advil site with an expandable FAQ, and one of the questions was “why does Advil taste sweet?”
So I expanded it out to reveal this shocking answer (or something similar): “Advil tastes sweet because it is lightly coated in sugar.”
Thanks, I guess. I just closed the tab in mild irritation and moved on with my day.
I do this, but with graham crackers instead.
Shittin in the shower
I’m currently working on a cleanup project, and another manager with whom we closely work volunteered some of his people to assist.
After providing a status update to my manager this morning, I let him know that I was unsure of the status for one of the people from the other team. I hit her up on teams earlier and asked, but she’d been away for over 22 hours and hadn’t responded. He tells me to call her, so I do, and leave her a voicemail.
“Call until she answers. No answer is unacceptable unless she’s on PTO.”
Yeah. A lady I worked with who was a good 15 years older than me asked “where is Norwegia?” when we were discussing something to do with Norwegians.
I’m just so sick of it. God I miss the early 2000s era of just about everything.
Oddity aside, certainly she could have sourced this closer to home, right?
Holy hell I absolutely identify with this.
Already did 😎
