It’s a Christmas Miracle!
I guess there is good and bad with either style. I generally prefer the self checkout because I can bag my own stuff
2/3 of the House has to vote for expelling so it is likely difficult to actually abuse this since 2/3 is not all one party
We are likely going to see a rise in infant and maternal mortality rates as well. Most of the states that outright banned abortion are also ones where they didn’t expand Medicaid and have fewer hospitals
They shouldn’t treat him as a serious candidate. All they should do is keep repeating how he was held liable for sexual assault, how his business is being taken apart for fraud, and all the other crimes. Instead, they act like he has real policy ideas and it normalizes the extremism
I wish that when they mention Trump, that they also mentioned that he is liable for sexual assault, fraud and under indictment for (list all the charges in this space). A responsible press would make sure their readers had all the facts each time.
When has there not been a genocide going on there?
The phone companies have been selling our data for their own profit for years now. We are not just the consumers anymore, we are also the product
The only country that benefits from that is China. But maybe they’ll give his daughter more patents
I am realistic enough to know that if a cease fire was established it would likely not last long.
I think if Trump had been actually convicted of instigating the Jan 6 insurrection at this point these cases would have a much better chance of success.
The GOP has been fostering conspiracy theories and fringe issues and now they are at the stage where their base is electing people who believe in the conspiracies. Those people aren’t usually very stable, hence more disruptive behavior and fist fights. It is probably only a matter of time before one sneaks a gun in and shoots the place up.
Developers won’t do it though. Otherwise, we’d already have this happening. What they do now is call it a loss and get a break on their taxes.
They are on the wrong sides of the bottle
I’ve been looking to replace my car this year. The used cars I’m looking at (2-3 years old) are almost as expensive as the new cars. Maybe I will save $5000-7000 on it. So why buy a used car with dubious history?
Maybe I’ll stop getting those “He Gets Us” ads if I cruise the atheist subreddits.
You would think. But folks in Alabama have been trying to get involved and half the party (the one recognized but the state) rejects them. Which is why Doug Jones and Chris England have been trying to get things working along party lines there. But the other faction ( a black church organization that has a death grip on the part) rejects any diversity and modernization.
Reply All did a set of podcasts about the mess a few years ago called “The Real Enemy”. I’d suggest that if you want to understand the history. It’s a few years old now, but not much has changed except one of the main folks died and the power transferred to her cronies.
I might have gotten that if I had my glasses on.
