I’m getting that same way.
Currently trying to chase down some automatic sun shades that don’t need an app to do time-based cycles. Shouldn’t be this hard, but every band wants you to use absolute garbage apps.

I’ve been using New Pipe, but they seem to have broken every 3rd party front-end within the last week or so.
There really isn’t a way to realistically shield against relay attacks. Most people say “just go back go physical keys”, but those are even less secure.
Phone-as-key and keycard systems are vulnerable in the same way.
Ironically, I think Hyundai is the only company currently doing biometrics. They have a face unlock and fingerprint start on the GV60 in some markets iirc.
That applies to every manufacturer, and no, there isn’t really a fix.
It’s also not really happening in any meaningful numbers, at least yet…
No designers involved, unless you think Elon is a designer. The whole Tesla design studio revolted over having to work on it. They designed something else, which of course Elon refused. I wouldn’t at all be surprised if it was engineered so the other option can be swapped in when this one flops.
With the new 500 estimated to start around $35k in the US, Fiat lost “cheap”. Super uncompetitive at that price though, we’ll see what happens.
Can get a nearly new Polestar 2 for that. The $650/mo insurance bill killed that idea for me though.
he takes an incredibly simplistic view towards component design and focuses on almost entirely on cost/simplicity,
Except pop-up door handles. If you don’t have extra motors and mechanisms in each door he harps on it (eg: Polestar 2).
I’m interested to see if that happens to me as I get older.
Right now my policy for trips is “no chains”.
You want them to break in for insurance purposes though, it’s a clear indication of unauthorized entry. Your policy should cover the door/window, but if your lock gets picked/bypassed you’re going to have a rough time getting things covered.
The only French automaker in the US is Bugatti, and it’s questionable how French they are.
I’m hoping the Stellantis merger leads to more French cars here. Peugeot, Renault, Alpine, Citroen, and DS all have cars I’d be interested in.
I use Namecheap as my registrar, then split the domain between Adobe for the site (through their CC portfolio builder), and Proton for email. I migrated off Gsuite a while ago, but haven’t had any problems since doing so.
Yeah, this year has been on an absolute rip, I’m expecting a drop in the next year, regardless of who wins. Actually pulled 10% of my retirement out of the market and into cash yesterday so I can buy any future dips.
