Jeff Laubenstein is awesome and has done some great alters for me. He’s awesome to talk to at events.
Dan Frazier will always hold a special place in my heart because I wrote to him and a bunch of other artists when I was 10 or 11 and he was the only one to write back and answer my questions.
Victor Adame-Minguez did the art for Brutal Expulsion, which is a card that hooks special significance for me.
Howard Lyon does some really phenomenal work and he’s another person who is really great to talk to at events.
Steve Argyle is an absolute madman when it comes to alters and sketches and he’s another really awesome dude to talk to at events. He’s so soft spoken and his artwork is so loud and I absolutely love that dichotomy.
Seriously, the guy is such a blast to talk to at events and he’s game to alter anything.
You see, if it’s a legitimate Republican, the body has a way of shutting down the bullshit so it doesn’t get implanted in the brain.
My local food bank is my favorite place to donate and volunteer at. My friend also works as a CASA so I donate to them as well (link is for the national organization, but they’re may be a local group you can donate to directly). Other than that, look around your area for local nonprofits. There are lots of local charities that work with kids, help solve local problems, etc that can always use some financial help. There are several organizations that you can go to if you want to vet and check on the charities to make sure they’re legit.
Dee vee deee… Spin 'em, burn 'em, stick 'em in a 'puter.
I use Plex. I have different libraries set up for movies, TV shows, educational videos, home videos, and during the pandemic it was great because my kids were doing dance class remotely, so I even set up a library so they could have all their dance class videos in one spot to practice their routines. I also organize my family photos there as well, which works out great to have those and the home videos all in one place. I can even give family members access to various libraries if they want to view family photos/videos, which has been handy as well.
Lots of people swear by jellyfin, but I’ve had so much success with Plex that I haven’t bothered to check it out. It’s probably easy enough to get a server for each up and running and see which you prefer.

Not Cat
Yeah, this finally clarifies where the terms shard and wedge come from for me!
I agree. I like the idea that there’s a trek for everyone. I love strange new worlds, but (initially) wasn’t really into the idea of lower decks, and that’s ok because I think it gives everyone something different to look forward to and avoid the problem of oversaturation. You can choose the shows you like and miss the ones you don’t.
That being said, I’m glad they did the crossover episode with lower decks because it made me give the show a shot and I ended up really liking it.
ask you to signup for a library card.
Diabolical…
Same here. Plex just makes sharing with family so much simpler. My mom and dad can figure it out just as easily as my kids can and the amount of time I have to do tech support for anyone has been literal zero, which is a huge bonus for me, personally.
Yeah, it sounds like a problem with a contributor to Shutterstock not following the terms of use. The person who put together the marketing materials for Loki was just using stock images. I don’t think it should be on them to enforce shutterstock’s TOU.
Attacking civilians is also plain and simple terrorism
So we’re in agreement that this is essentially two terrorist states fighting each other? And the biggest losers in all of this will be the innocent Israeli and Palestinian citizens who just want to live their lives in peace. Meanwhile Hamas and the Israeli state get to go back and forth playing the their sick game of race-to-the-bottom-of-the-morality-barrel trying to blow each other to smithereens.
Loved this book, but basically had to read every paragraph twice because I’m dumb as a rock and just didn’t understand like 90% of what was going on the first time through.
It’s Texas, so… Never? Can’t let evidence get in the way of a good execution.
All of the pieces. On both sides of the board. Mentally it’s much more taxing keeping track of which pieces are yours. We guys have it really easy with the whole black/white pieces.
Yeah, I liked the gorn episode, but it kinda came out of left field. I mean, it didn’t help that in my head every time they would talk about the gorn in earlier episodes I would think of the dude in the green lizard suit, so I had this comical picture in my head of all these people being terrified of a guy in a silly outfit and was not mentally prepared for an alien remake…
I’m trying to reserve judgement until I see it, but the trailer did not do a great job of getting me excited to see this. It looked like it would be a made for tv movie that they’d stick on the Disney channel or something.
Yeah this seems like an easy mistake to make. In fact, they were on coverage, which means they would have had a judge sitting there at the table with then, so the judge even missed it when it happened.
