My bootloader didn’t fail. I modified my fstab without setting nofail nor noauto, took the laptop on the road, rebooted, and learned the hard way. ib4 RTFM.

I came just to say this. I have a Brother MFC-L2700DW that I bought in 2018. I only connect it to the power when I need to scan or to print, which it does flawlessly every single time, over WiFi, and disconnect it again. The toner is the original one that came with the printer.

I’m not sure if you’re referring to just the functionality of being able to pay by tapping the phone, but there’s Google Pay, which does exactly that and is mostly accepted wherever apple’s solution is accepted. It works in any Android phone with NFC.

The app is called Fennec F-Droid and is maintained by Mozilla. Just clarifying so it can be found.

The same has happened to me few times and sadly I’ve never been able to find a good replacement.

I saw an eBay listing for a pool/billiard ball claiming to be compatible, but that’s not apealling to me, and the price was something ridiculous like 40-50€, so I learned to live with the pain of just rotating the ball upside-down when I hit the dent.

I guess it would be possible to do a tiny patch on the dent with epoxy, but I don’t want to take the risk of making things even worse.
