Linux is boring. In a good way. It is so boring that each of my computers use different distros. I have Debian, Fedora, Mint, OpenSUSE Tumbleweed and Endeavour OS installed across 4 or 5 computers right now. Some of them still dual-booting Windows 10/11. Now each time I boot into Windows is fun. In a bad way.

I stopped using Google when they dropped their “don’t be evil” principle. Not just because of that, but because their prior decisions were going against the principle. Sure it was ~10 years ago. A couple of years ago I tried Google search hoping it was still decent, but Jesus Lord, it sucked.

I think it’s been years now. At least a couple of years, I was baffled too back in the day.

I would take a look at Reddit, right now, to see what you refer to as an “atrocity”, but they block.me for using a VPN, so…

I think he’s smart and brave. A lot of smart people won’t say what they think because of people everywhere checking on discourses for the smallest fractures getting offended. Smart people, in the end, will course their battles. Bill Burr is not always on point but he does not shy away from stating his point of view. Sometimes he does it brilliantly. I don’t follow the guy as much as a fan or a critic would to know why they like him or why they hate him right now. Seriously, cancelation culture is not constructive.

I don’t even like the widespread use of the word “creator”.

The mere existence of that phrase is sad.

“You should be confortable”. Is that a common phrase of these people?

I don’t do drugs except the occasional social alcohol consume. Drugs are a cancer, yes, they feel good, but thinking about the amount of people who die and suffer for them to exist, just hits me too hard. It’s different if you can get them legally, but almost all drugs are illegal in my country. Right now, there’s nothing to keep me going except for my life partner and my cats, but health and finding a good job is becoming harder at my age. Enjoy life as long and as much as you can, even doing drugs, but try to keep yourself sober once in a whole too. Do this, look for another way to enjoy life. If you are young, look for your older family members, they probably miss you.

I don’t think that’s a good idea. Moreover, it would defeat the purpose of using Debian Stable as the base system and their magnificent team of kernel maintainers. If you want the HWE just use plain Linux Mint, if you need a current kernel, go with a rolling release distro, and if you need Debian, try Sid.
