This choice is a real cold shoulder to the true sub zero hero.
I mod a worryingly growing list of communities. Ask away if you have any questions or issues with any of the communities.
I also run the hobby and nerd interest website scratch-that.org.

Strange, I see the OP picture as red, but this one as black & white.
Art is subjective, but for me being a a museum and going from Impressionism and post impressionism, and into a modern and post modern gallery is like a slap in the face.
In my experience, all I feel is it goes from beautiful paintings with high skill level used by artists to visually manipulate form and shape to create coherent but stylized images, to “check out this crushed oil drum, really makes you think huh?”
You can still see the remnants of trying to address the “realism” issue with things like Riker existing at all. Writing in an XO was supposed to divide responsibilities. However if that had been stuck to rigidly, Picard would never be written into many exciting situations.
MACOs on ENT should have logically made Malcolm redundant, but the show kept finding things for him to do.
Sir, this is a Quark’s Bar.
Tim Cain is a creative guy. I would rather he spend his time developing new things rather than revisiting old.
I personally want a Fallout 1 remaster/remake, but I don’t see what value is added by Tim Cain being part of it. He already gave his input, somebody else can riff on it. (You know, hypothetically, since God Howard has declared his holy rays will never illuminate a remaster).
Counterpoint: “War has changed.”
Don’t quote the old magic to me.
It’s a dumbfire system. Very similar warhead diameter, but a lesser effective range than the guided Javelin and it lacks the top down attack of the Javelin, meaning it can not practically engage with as heavy armored targets.
Zelensky actually specifically said that they didn’t seem to want to give enough aid to “win” particularly, just enough not to lose
Not to stir up too much, but it’s Zelensky’s job to constantly ask for more and more and more, and to push and prod and guilttrip and use every angle for every piece of aid. I don’t think there’s any level of aid given right now where he wouldn’t turn around and ask for more, saying what he’s getting isn’t enough. He’s a politician who is trying to leverage for maximum aid rather than an objective source. That’s not a knock, just saying that that’s his job right now.
America isn’t putting the weight of its military in as if it were being invaded, but it is and has been sending hundreds of billions worth of equipment, and people online only seem grateful for about 5 minutes when each shipment arrives, before going back to knocking the U.S. The U.S. didn’t invade Ukraine; the U.S. has advised and helped train them, and given them aid.
The earlier above comment wasn’t meant to say it isn’t giving aid, but it did downplay it and thanks only came when that was noted.
I noticed you skipped 2022, when the U.S. approved $100+ billion in aid.
No phylodiversity, only Khlav Kalash.
The guns in the original games would share ammo pools if they were of the same caliber, the article described a simplified pool by class of weapon.
So now rather than separate 5.45mm and 5.56mm you have “assault rifle ammo”. It sounds minor, but one of the aspects of STALKER has been inventory management and making the choice when to main one caliber. At least for me. Hence my waiting on mods.
As for the minimap, the article is describing an additional always on compass with quest markers in the style of the modern Fallout games. I hope to be able to turn that bit of visual clutter off, and also hope that the game isn’t designed so much with the assumption I’m using it that I can’t find objectives without it.
It seems better set up for mass market success, and I support this for the sake of the devs, but for me personally when I read:
Most weapons thankfully use interchangeable ammo types across the class
minimap has been replaced with a compass permanently affixed to the top of the screen, pointing to nearby points of interest and quest markers
I can only think “mods will fix this”.
Amazing, an entire society run by Kevin Sorbo.
Say what you will about the Borg collective, but at least it’s an ethos.
Doesn’t it? The people making the new game don’t want to dilute focus on their new product. When somebody searches for Delta Force on Steam, they want it only to return the new game. This is like when Rockstar pulled classic GTA: SA before dropping the remaster.
I was in a museum last week that held some of the “greats” of modern and post modern movements, and I much preferred the other galleries.
Mark Rothko’s abstract expressionism:

Van Gogh.
For me, it’s not even close.
