Quite a naive (and also stereotypically American) perspective, really. Just ignoring major parts of the economy, like the music, film, book publishing industries etc. They are all based on people doing anything that’s not “legit” according to this guy. Also a smell of a very naive concept of “legit science” lurks behind this. Clearly someone who has no clue about how science works.

Exactly my point. In the second case the two lines are also not the product, but it’s heavily implied that the dam, bridge is something useful, while the python code is useless. There are many examples where the opposite is the case

None of these engineers built a dam, ship, or plane. They did some math and drew some lines, and some other people built the stuff.

Reasons for average people to use metaverse:

1. Facebook has no control of hardware platforms vs. Google/Apple. Now that Android and ios have stricter tracking protection against 3rd parties, fb can’t track and sell ads as they used to. By buying into the metaverse you help keep the Facebook business survive.

You could also put the corpse in a water tank next to the pool with a shared water flow, but that’s a different experiment. Or else sprinkle the corpse into the pool in tiny bits (i.e. micro corpses) invisible to the eye.
