Good. “The knee is closer than the shin.” No matter how angry people are about Biden and Palestine, they will vote to make abortion legal again. If the country survives, it won’t be because the left triumphed, it will be because the Right threw itself off the bridge.

    State rights, huh?

Oh well. If they’re going to keep pressing the issue, it’s going to cost them. Maybe it’ll even take Trump down too… that’d be nice.

How about putting something on the ballot so that abortion can never be banned?

Let’s also regulate what politicians do with their body and remove free socialized healthcare for them.

Stupid clickbait headline designed to engage single-issue voters, who have turned out to vote for abortion rights, and teach them something about Project 2025.

If they manage to read that far.

Agreed, but not everyone who votes for abortion rights knows or cares enough about Project 2025, hence why I consider them single-issue voters.

Yes but it’s not like the president can just ban it. Even Congress probably can’t because of states’ rights.

Banning abortion is the number one way to make sure more abortions happen, and more women die as a result of unsafe abortions. If you’re in favor of banning abortions, then you’re not doing it to “protect children” or whatever stupid reason, you’re doing it because you hate women. Either that or you’re woefully uneducated about everything surrounding the “abortion debate” which has no right being a debate, there is an objectively correct side, and it’s the pro-choice side.

If you’re pro-life or just don’t know much about it, please educate yourselves:
NBC article about how abortion rates are four times lower in countries where it’s legal
    WHO report on abortion
Amnesty International fact sheet about abortions
US centric study by NPR about how abortion bans punish women by removing their right to choose and having pathetic maternal support systems

If you really want to protect children, then make sure your schools are teaching proper sex education, and that contraceptives are readily accessible to young people, so that fewer unwanted pregnancies are happening and that children are welcomed into a loving family who is prepared mentally, emotionally, and financially to take care of them because they chose to have children rather than being forced to.

So… no it won’t? They’re saying a Republican will enforce an already in place law to ban all abortions. Not that there will be a ballot measure.

Like just say voting Republican in 2024 will ensure an abortion ban. Don’t say it will be on the ballot.

It’s a common thing to say in context. As a headline though, it’s absolutely click bait. “The Supreme Court is on the ballot” was heard over and over in 2016 which turned out to be 100% true.

A difference in semantics not reality. Dems should force a vote for a constitutional amendment in the senate to put Republicans on the back foot in 2024. America is vastly prochoice! When red states vote down bans but still vote antichoice leadership.
