I just had kidney stone removal surgery yesterday. The kind with a scope. That’s my life right now, sleeping or awake.

Mine is 5mm. They told me I had a good chance of passing it. So for weeks, they had me on a double dose of Flomax with some big ibuprofen. Nothing. Follow up CT scan said it hardly moved. They’re going in. They went in. He got far enough in to see it, but couldn’t get to it. I guess in younger men, things are pretty narrow in that vicinity. So, they put a stent in to dilate it larger and I have to go back. But now, it really, really hurts to pee and I have crazy bladder urgency. So I’m in the bathroom frequently for like, a tablespoon or so of fluid. Them just going up there with a scope really did a number on me. It sucks so hard. I really, really hope you just pass yours normally. Good luck to you!

Thanks friend. I passed one earlier this year. I had no idea what was going on as this was my first. Work was difficult to focus on and going anywhere was a monumental challenge. After a week and a half of that an ER trip and the very same meds helped resolve it in about a week. Very uncomfortable was I. But you know. Now the meds are a near daily thing. I am older and the prostate isn’t as slim as it used to be.

I drink a lot of water. No soda, beer or other fluids usually. Just water. I am still somewhat baffled as to why I’ve been blessed with these painful pee pebbles.

I hope comfort returns to you soon!
