I think separating Jewish identity from Israel is important. This is the whole game zionists play where they conflate the two making it impossible to criticize Israel.
That’s true, and white supremacists love to conflate them too, which was my problem here. I guess my vibe check would be if I would see people using “Israel” or “Israeli” as a substitute for “Jewish” when using a phrase like this. If the underlying implication of a phrase is (they are doing it because they are Jewish “Israeli”) Then I don’t think it’s useful. We don’t need to spread hate, we can just call out Israel on their atrocities.
I meant that we shouldn’t use ambiguous statements that white supremacists like to hide behind. We should say things as they are, not just using petty insults.
Yeah, not for nothing but this is immature and it really neglects the fact that there are plenty of normal everyday civilians stuck in the middle of all of it (save for the mandatory conscription part) who barely have any skin in the game aside from getting out alive.
It’s no different than Indian giving/indian summers/indian sunburn/sitting Indian style. We’ll look back on it someday and realize that no native person had ever used those terms around us white boys.

Not a fan of this, reminds a lot of slurs like “He jewed me out of $50” kind of anti-semitism.
I’m worried that anti-semites will use anti-Israel statements as a dogwhistle for white supremacy.
