I don’t understand this graph.
A starting point is to read the associated article — it tries to reallocate historical cumulative CO2 emissions based on who benefited from the emissions during the colonial era.
What about current goods produced in e.g. china and consumed in the west? Are they also accounted to the consumers in current statistics? Or the producers?
They’re not, but it makes a surprisingly modest difference
