Look, if anyone loves a bit of dark humor, that’s me. Not to mention how much I love horror stuff, horror is basically my favorite genre, but there are limits for me like for everyone else.

Just this day while scrolling on Google images I saw by accident a picture of that fucking pink cat girl from that one disgusting pedo ‘‘anime’’ on par with like Human Centipede and Serbian Film, I actively avoid that shit and just every now and then I am reminded of it’s existence, WHY, WHY WHY does someone have to do that and post it in the first place? Reminder that I’m the type who plays Outlast, FnaF or Resident Evil casually like it’s an Animal Crossing, not to mention the anime, horror movies(Saw included) and crime shows and stuff I like.

But there are still stuff I want to forget that exist, these include, that ‘‘anime’’(I hate to call that anime), Human Centipede, A Serbian Film, Coffin of incest game(forgot it’s name) and stuff like Terrifier movies and whatnot, you know basically worst of the worst. I know that stuff like that exist thanks to YT and while I have nothing against mentioning it and making a video on talking about how disgusting it is, which some of my favorite YouTubers did for the 2 aforementioned movies, I do have against it actively posting it and it popping on on completely unrelated stuff and unironically liking it. Like stuff like that is for Dark Web and shouldn’t be on the surface web at all.

Why does anyone feel the need to even mention shit like that, I’m pissed as fuck right now, my deranged cousin isn’t enough, I also have to deal with this. I’m so happy when I forget stuff like that exist only to be reminded by pure accident.

I’m sorry, I’m not thinking straight, I’m so pissed, I just need to talk to someone, maybe I will feel better…

I can only speak in defense of gory fictional medias; but I’m an active proponent of the splatterpunk genre, mostly because while I respect the classical horror concept of showing the monster, or showing the bloodbath as little as possible to make the viewer’s imagination connect the dots, I believe there’s just as much potential, if not more in showing it all, to gory, horrific excess.

It’s like, ‘terror’ is knowing full well there’s something that shouldn’t be in your house, lurking just out of sight in the darkness of your hallway, watching you. ‘Horror’, is getting up and flicking the hallway light on to see an absolute charnel house made of the place; and then ‘terror again’ is knowing the thing that was just watching you from the hallway is not only already in your bedroom, but stalking you from the rear as you recoil from the gory spectacle in front of you.

Yeah I get that, but you can’t defend stuff like Serbian Film, Human Centipede, shit containing incest, rape etc.

      You know what I mean?

That’s why I put the delimiter of “fictional” there. Full disclosure; I couldn’t sit through the runlength of A Serbian Film, I only made it through the first Human Centipede movie before I had to put the entire series down; I found the examples you give overall distasteful and in service of pure shock horror-- but at the same time, I’d be a hypocrite to not defend their existence due to my beliefs regarding artistic expression. I’m against censorship in art first and foremost; and allowing the censorship of what I personally find to be ‘distasteful’ fiction to go by unopposed will just make it that much easier for the Majority for Media Morality to censor me when they finally get down to the mundane end of the slippery slope they’re building.

I believe there is a duty to defend ‘distasteful’ fiction’s right to exist. I might not like what they produce-- hell, in some cases, I even outright hate it; but I defend to death their right to create it. I don’t want to live under a puritan’s watch. I don’t want to live to see a new Tipper Gore. If what you were talking about were honest-to-god snuff films, grossly-egregious SA evidence, and the like, you’d have all the leeway in the world to run with it; but you’re talking about fictions here to a Rob Zombie baby.

The thing is, this shit ain’t your average Rob Zombie movie(btw I like his music). You already know A Serbian Film so I don’t need to explain it, it was banned in like 15 different countries. About Human Centipede, I literally just heard about it from one of my favorite Creepypasta YouTubers who talked about both of those movies and I know everything there is to know about it from the trailer alone. Stuff like that is full on Dark Web shit, not to mention stuff with pedophilia, rape, incest etc. I don’t have problem with guts, gore etc, but this is just disgusting.

If it exists, then it’s for Dark Web, not something that should be posted on surface internet unless it’s just talking about it. I mean some restrictions exist for a reason.

I see gore as artistic. I don’t like gore used in a purely horror manner. I like the exploration of flesh. I hate monsters being hidden because I want to appreciate the design. I hate suspense though and jumpscares, plus horrors generally don’t ever cater to my preference so I don’t watch them. I haven’t played it but I like the fleshiness of Scorn. It’s not fleshy enough for me tbh.
