It is fabulous to have them. My parents spent some time in Singapore and came back determined to recreate a version of satays, but there were very few ingredients available here back in the '80s. We had to make coconut milk by soaking dessicated coconut in boiling water and squeezing it. The only way we could get unsalted peanuts was to buy them still in the shell, so we had to start the sauce by sitting around shelling peanuts! It’s all much simpler now.
