No, it doesn’t. Democrats in red states have a much higher likelihood of being closer to Republicans stances in order to get elected.
It’s so nice that the national party has to step in to save us from ourselves. Otherwise we might elect a progressive instead of the anti-choice candidate they prefer.

The funny thing is that he’s mostly going to get Republican votes if he runs third-party.
Meanwhile I think he’s more likely to siphon Republican votes than Democratic votes if he were to run third party.
