    They aren’t hiding now. We know who they are. It’s not like some dude in Ethiopia is out there emptying cans of CFCs into the ozone and we’ve just missed him. They work in broad daylight and charge us for the pleasure of their services.

      You make a fair point.

      But there’s that old saying about what you know and what you can prove.

      Being able to prove it might not change anything but calling attention to methane hot spots is a step in the right direction I guess?

      Idk, I’m not trying to decry your cynicism if that’s what it is

        It’s 100% cynicism, I won’t hide that. We just see climate crimes happen all the time, and the companies behind it either ignore the problem they’ve created, or if we’re lucky, pay a small fine that barely puts a dent in the profits they’ve made from the pollution. I’m all for identifying those that harm the environment, but I feel like we already have a pretty solid list of those companies. What we really need to do ramp up the punishment to make it not worth it for them. None of these companies are mustache-twirling villains in it to destroy the environment, they are mustache-twirling villains in it for the profit.
