I’m CIS white male and I don’t want to be a girl; I want to be a robot. I don’t want pretty dresses or knee high socks. I want a single glass visor for eyes and a rust proof exoskeleton.

I’m not fond of steak since I’m a vegetarian and although I got into some fights in my youth I wouldn’t call myself good at it.

I’m more of a Mekboy than a Tech priest. Cybork technology is not only more affordable but it’s environmentally friendly since it’s all scrap.

Honestly the Murder Drones “Worker Drone” is an awesome base design (the disassembly drone just looks like an emo version of the base design), if I ever wanted to be a robot I would be that, too bad they (canonically) run on core 2 quads(or maybe even core 2 duos), which I had the experience to deal with irl and even on Linux they’re painfully slow

        I’d rather follow Alt’s path than David’s. I don’t want a different body. I don’t want a body at all.

I meant more in a general sense of being exclusively a “net” being.

As for why to that: without going into great detail, I feel a level of detachment to my body that I think most people don’t have, and I feel like it would be a much better experience for me as a consciousness to be removed from my uncooperative body.

Basically, I feel like basic signals from my body (hunger, fatigue, pain, etc.) Are not well received by my brain. Many times it feels like a totally unlabeled signal from a body part, and I need to actively troubleshoot what the feeling is and why.

As an example, I’ll get a feeling in my abdomen, but I won’t know if it correlates to pain, hunger, thirst, sitting still, being sore, or any number of other things.

The abdomen sends a messenger up to the guy in charge at the brain, and the interaction goes something like this:

            • Brain: what is it, messenger?

            • Messenger: I come with important news from the stomach!

            • B: Great, let’s hear it.

            • M: oh, dang, I think I dropped the message on the way here. It was definitely important though. Anyway, bye!

If everyone had this subjective reality we would not have survived as a species. I have similar experience with having to manually intervene in signal processing.

I’m sure “the average person” occasionally misreads a signal but it is not the same thing.

This is actually a very nice thing to hear from someone, thanks for that.

The gravity of it is difficult to really explain to others, because it’s a weird concept, and an explanation usually only covers one aspect, but the reality is that the example that I gave is a truly constant occurrence and means I end up using most of my energy in a given day just troubleshooting what my own body is trying to tell me. I also think a big difference is for many others, misread signals will sort themselves out by becoming clear without much active intervention before it’s an issue, and that rarely happens in my experience.

I feel like we all get that in some way. I might get a food signal, but I try to eat something and its actually a fuck you signal because I won’t be able to eat, for one example

From Edgerunners anime show from the games studio CD Project Red, creators of Cyberpunk 2077 video game. The show takes place in the same city, before the events of the game.

Is this the Confederation of Independent Systems(CIS) or the Commonwealth of Independent States(CIS)?

I want to be a cat so I can be pampered, and lash out randomly and have people think it’s cute
