High school diploma. I’ve only been specifically asked in one job interview in my entire 25 year career. I currently have employment income in the 94th percentile for a man of my age in my country (according to 2021 census data) - and no high school diploma.

Had a cohort tell me they hadn’t gotten the same qualifications as me because they hadn’t finished high school.

But it’s not a prerequisite and nobody cares. I don’t have a diploma.

But I hate this person and suggested they get a GED because it’s really easy. I doubt they will.

I don’t see the need if you have the skills.

We have both self taught, and degree team members.

The degree holders don’t shine brighter than those without.

Same. I started this career with my only qualifications being that I knew linux computers reasonably well, and I was used to heavy machinery as I grew up on a farm. I have twice the salary of my friends with masters degrees.
