Plenty of western experts understood what a proxy war with Russia would look like, and explained in great detail why it must play out the way it is. I don’t assign my self worth by deluding myself I can predict the outcome of a military conflict between two nation states with millions of people which I can’t influence whatsoever. The FT is actually a tad bit more reliable than more mainstream outlets like WaPo or the NYT. It’s targeted towards people in finance who want more matter of fact reporting and fewer opinion pieces.
