Apparently unrelated to the massive Netflix anime leak, the Re:Zero movie length premiere has also leaked.
This one appears to be related to a canceled showing at Japan Expo in Paris, similar to the massive CR premiere leak from a convention in Washington couple of seasons ago.
If there’s no demand, there’s no leak.
While it sucks for CR and the production committee, leaks are a good indicator for the show’s popularity, and/or anime’s popularity in general.
A lot of shows just allow free viewing on the first episode anyway, like a free sample to get a prospective customer interested in the product.
it also does not seem to be a big loss when they already planned to show this episode a month ago
