Biden won’t because he’s an ossified boomer and still thinks of Russia in CW1 terms. Unfortunately, I think the earliest chance of a significant positive change in US policy vis a vis Ukraine will come after Harris is sworn in. It’s deeply frustrating, because I very much understand the tactical exigencies of the current situation, but Biden is more or less (wrongheadedly) paralyzed in that sense.
