Reminds me of a Reddit post a while ago where someone was claiming ten thousand people were crushed by tanks and hosed down the sewer at Tiananmen Square. Ten thousand.
Even entertaining the notion that is true, picture ten thousand human bodies. Can you image the sewer infrastructure required to handle that much crushed matter?
That must be why communists invest so much in infrastructure. Here in the good old USA we stick with undersized sewer pipe that’s thirty years past its useful life for reasons of freedom and safety. When it can’t even handle storm water we know we’re safe from hosing.
Accidentally praising the efficiency and capacity of Beijing’s sewers lol. Around where I live if it rains or snows or whatever for more than 5 hours all the streets are filled with water because city planners have no idea how to do properly deal with overflow.
The Nazis killed something like 14,000 people per day once the Holocaust was in full swing. That’s gas chambers, then moving bodies to the ovens, then emptying out the ovens, and then repeating the cycle. And they found this was the most efficient way to kill large groups of people. If they could have killed more people faster for cheaper, they would have.
Crushing 10,000 people and hosing them down a sewer would probably be the most sophisticated sewage system ever developed. Hell, even crushing 10,000 people with tanks is unbelievable.

“hosed down the sewer” lmfao what are they on?
