There are ways to “civilise” (AKA cultural assimilation/imposition) that don’t imply murdering the natives. In fact, that’s what the “civilised societies” of the Greeks and the Romans did.

You know what’s even funnier? Europeans aren’t native to Europe either. The Proto-Indo-European people likely arose in the Central Asian steppes. And they “invaded” Europe and either killed most of all the ACTUAL indigenous Europeans (jk… before non-PIE Sapiens there were the Neanderthals, and perhaps Erectus before them we still don’t know), or, get this, outbred them. Im just gonna point out that the Indo-European migrations most likely werent bloody conquests. They took tgousands years, its probable that the expansion was a mix of cultural expansion, conquest, and ruling class inter-mingling (think normans) that is to say it was probably not some grand bloody conquest but a general shift over millenia. Though the Hittites probably were an example of general conquest of a region.
