I’m thinking a bus holds about 50 people. So this is like 40 buses worth of casualties. In a day. Crazy. I sure wish Russia would just fuck off back to their own country, for everyone’s sake.

Unfortunately it most likely is. Generally Ukraine is thought to be taking 1:2 or 1:3 casualties rate now days. Even if you are very very optimistic and say 1:8, which they were reporting around adviievka and bahmut, that is still 1000-250 casualties.

Realities of war suck and we in the west are not doing anything close enough to support Ukraine with enough arms. Keep seeing that Ukraine is complaining that out of Western promises few get fulfilled in reasonable time unfortunately.

This is already 3rd year for fucks sake. All we do is bicker instead of trying to improve production and delivery.

NATO allies believe that Russian President Vladimir Putin is aiming to recapture territory lost to Ukraine in Kursk Oblast before Donald Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20.

NATO should be stepping up in turn and arming the shit out of Ukrainians.

Edit: wow, I blocked one dude and my feed is clean

that’s more people than live in my community growing up. that’s more people than went to most people’s highschools. that’s more people than who most people are able to remember names for.

it’s a mind boggling number of people that russia sent to die exclusively for the purposes of hating Ukrainians

I guess this is the purpose of pulling in North Korean troops.

Russia could theoretically do another mobilization, but the last “partial mobilization” went poorly politically and they seem reticent enough to do another that it may not be politically possible.
