From what I’ve heard scalpers bought basically the entire European stock of 5090s because they got early access to the sale from nvidia. Fun times we live in.
Why did they get early access?
Apparently (one of?) the official Nvidia seller(s) in Europe gave put special links to selected people so they could order their cards ~1h before the official launch. Some scalpers got their hands on that link and simply bought all of them. Kinda insane to Honor those sales tbh if that story is true.

Not that I like this shit, but why the hate for scalpers? It’s literally the capitalism’s basic rule. Exploit the weaker, buy low sell high. I mean Apple sells a piece of cloth for 29,99 and people wait in line. Hate the game, not the player.

Why not both? Of course it’s the companies not giving a shit about who buys their stuff and those idiots who actually buy cards for 3x retail prices who enable this kind of behaviour. However, just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should. I think it’s highly unethical to exploit regular people like this.
