Welcome to today’s daily kōrero!
Anyone can make the thread, first in first served. If you are here on a day and there’s no daily thread, feel free to create it!
Anyway, it’s just a chance to talk about your day, what you have planned, what you have done, etc.
So, how’s it going?
For me, if it’s a new idea I haven’t heard before, I will probably spend time later reading up on it.
If it’s the same old conspiracy theories, then I’ll probably just change the subject.
If it’s a common misconception, I’ll probably tell them.
That is to say, generally I’ll avoid conflict, but if it’s a new view that I haven’t previously looked into, I’m actually pretty excited to learn more.
When I first heard about flat earth
theoryhypothesis, I was totally hooked, I watched tons of videos. Ended up getting out a calculator after a graveyard shift so I could finally rest my mind after disproving one of their claims.Got some new inspiration for DnD world building, which eventually led to designing a world that was on the inside of a giant egg.
That is the best possible reply to that question.
I think you win the internet for today.
I’m sure someone has told me about a flat earth show where they get flat earth believers, and get them to invent scientific tests for proving their theories. Then they get them to do the tests and see the results. I haven’t actually watched it but it sounds pretty interesting.
There’s one hilarious hour+ long one I saw where they went out to prove the earth is flat using a laser over a very very long distance, and accidentally prove the earth is round.
Yeah that’s the sort of thing! Do you remember what it was called?
Behind the Curve on Netflix, here’s the clip in question

Thanks! I’ll consider watching it, but sometimes I get second-hand cringe and can’t handle it 😆
Its a comedy hahaha
Haha ok, I saved your comment and will check it out next time we have netflix (we rotate streaming services one at a time, currently on Disney+).
