I’m sad to say that ‘coming into contact’ with a grid transformer (enough to knock the whole system out) is usually not an activity that leaves much room for future health concerns for that monkey.

Can’t say I’m surprised, but grim to have it confirmed. As someone living in the nordics, guess i’ll have to think about moving.
Alternatively N A Z I, but whichever works really.
gotta say, not a huge fan of using obvious “AI” art to promote this.
Wonderful news, the less traffic fandom gets the better.
A high effort shitpost? That’s a rare gem that is.
And yet when Netflix was good the amount of people who pirated went down a ton. I was on that train. Just give me a service that isn’t outrageously expensive, has most of the content i want, and is more convenient than pirating and I’ll do it, as long as i have an income.
Ooh a double reference, fancy!
I can imagine it might be a tad difficult to produce processors on a nanometer scale if the entire building is shaking violently.
Absolutely, but calling it a reference implies that it was intentional by the writer, which seems unlikely considering what he’s said about such things.
Not everything needs to have deep/real-world meaning. As i recall, Tolkien really didn’t like people ascribing such things to his writing. They’re just stories and should be treated as such.
I asked her about it, and she said that she won’t hijack the community from the existing team, but she’d be willing to point people to a community made alternative if it spins up. Not necessarily the decision i would have made, but i understand and respect it.
The whole point of doing it this way is that it doesn’t need to be maintained. Once it’s full you just fill the tunnels up (probably with dirt and/or rock) and close them off and you’re good, it’ll sit there for those 100,000 years.
Had me in the first half, not gonna lie
That’s a fair point, i can absolutely see Gandalf the Grey justifying with something like “there is more evil in this world than just Sauron”.
Gandalf wouldn’t even still be there, since he was only there to aid in the fight against Sauron. He’d have gone off to Valinor shortly after Sauron’s defeat, together with the rest of the elves. And there’d be no Aragorn to be a good pal and extend the good lifespans of the realms of Men, so Gondor would never get a new king and the realms of Men would likely fall to evil a bit into the third age.
Rules are rules ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Projection is one hell of a drug
