the original undermines its own message: they are lifting it, even if barely and with difficulty, which implies that those characters are within an order of magnitude or so of literal divine power.

something something grapefruit technique
Could one hypothetically make a single shot gun as as cheap and simple as possible so as to be disposable, mount it by some kind of claw grabber type device that can adjust pressure, and then loosen the grip until it’s just barely being held in place before firing, so that instead of the recoil force transferring into the drone, it just yeets the gun out of the drone’s grip instead? Could have a drone with multiple grippers in order to have multiple shots before needing to be reloaded.
“sticks and stones may break my bones drones…”
I dont think Ive ever even pretended to think they are, for me children, especially babies and toddlers, give me a pretty bad case of the uncanny valley effect and look eerie and cause discomfort, as well as anxiety since Im even less sure than usual what they’re going to do and dont want someone’s kid getting hurt because of something I failed to notice. I dont hold it against them or hate children for it, its not their fault after all, but I do try to avoid being around them where practical.

Tbf is there any game publisher that doesn’t act like this? I like a lot of paradox’s games too, but expecting any company to be the “good” company in the industry is asking for disappointment.
One of the problems of car centric society is that the process for licensing almost has to be too lenient, because it causes major issues with people not being able to get around unless almost everybody can get a license, which means that regardless of safety, the bar has to be set low.
If they’re calling a brain their original processor, these robots could be a result of successful transhumanism rather than conventional robots, ie, they could be humans that have made themselves into robots, rather than robots built for some specific purpose. In that case, they might create child robots and grow them over time to reproduce, just because they find that mode of reproduction familiar and wish to continue it.
Similar story where I work, manufacturing a type of x ray emitting tool. Never seen anyone having problematic readings on the dosimeter badges, but when I was hired I did get told that they had only once had an incident, where one of the engineers had been for some reason repeatedly testing a prototype by directly holding the sample the x ray was firing at in his hand. Not sure what happened to him
Still could see some use though, in that if they’re not very combat capable anyway, driving them around potentially makes one expend ammo firing at them, and any mines they might hit would be detonated without human casualty.
When my cats are going after bugs, I usually try to catch the bug first and take it outside. Unless I catch them messing with a wasp, in which case I try to trap and swat it with something heavy so that they don’t get themselves stung

1442? surprised its not 1444
It’s conceivable that it could, and so it makes some sense to prepare. Even assuming it’s over by then though, it still makes some sense to prop up Ukraine both militarily and economically for some time after, because seeing as the war has been mostly fought on their territory, it will be a long struggle to rebuild, during which time it may be difficult for them to afford to replace military stockpiles on their own as they’ll need everything they can for rebuilding. But if their military is not also replenished, then they’d be at risk if Russia tries this again a few years later.
From the light’s point of view, that distance should get reduced to zero due to length contraction anyway if I’m remembering correctly?
A Toyota Hilux that’s up on cinder blocks because the wheels have all been removed.
I mean, in an actual fight, that one movie notwithstanding, King Kong shouldnt exactly be an equivalent to Godzilla, he managed to get himself killed by being shot up by some aircraft mounted guns and falling off a building, while Godzilla can tank a nuke and fire radioactive plasma from his mouth
Honestly, they don’t really deserve the idolization they get even beyond the movies. Sparta was a rather brutal slaver society after all, the reason for their famous military training was mostly to deal with rebellion by their slave population which greatly outnumbered them. If they still existed as they did then, they’d probably be viewed with the same kind of contempt we view places like North Korea.
To be fair, quacks that claim to be able to do magical stuff are still around, some do quite well well for themselves even
